36w and 4d pregnant. dilated to a 1 1/2 almost 2 and dr tried to strip my membranes. how long will it be before things get to moving along?

No set time: But am surprised as long as you and baby are ok that doc would strip the membranes before 37 weeks as sometimes you can go into labor in a day or 2 or sometimes it does not work at all to put u in labor, if your baby is not too large, safest time to deliver for the baby is 39-40 weeks and 38 weeks better than now, at 36 wks and 4 days the lungs may not be all the way mature.
