You may need help: If the baby tooth is still not "loose" when you can see the permanent coming through you see a dentist to help get the baby tooth out of way. Not doing anything could lead to gum problems, infection, or misalignment.

Normal: The permanent molars come in behind the baby molars. It is after the permanent molars come in that the permanent bicuspids come in and push the baby molars our of the way.

If you have anomalies in size/shape/position of teeth or jaws, or any deviation in eruption timing or pattern, ask for referral to your dentist's favorite orthodontist.
