Ovulation: It all depends on how long the woman decides to breastfeed. When breastfeeding is over some women take 2 weeks to ovulate again and some women can take a longer time. There can also be spontaneous ovulation while breastfeeding so birth control is recommended. Pregnancy and labor are extreme changes for the hormonal environment of the female body. It could take a while to return to normal.
