Can ibs patients absorb nutrients from supplements as nt from food causing b12 & vitamin d defiency?

Yes they do: Ibs does not effect the absorption of the supplements as there is no problem with absorption and they can be given supplements to correct deficiencies if diagnosed or anticipated.Vit B12 can be given orally or pareterally if needed.

Nutrient abso t ptio: With IBS is typically normal unless rapid transit prevails. Nutrient absorption with IBD may be impaired .
