Maybe: It is very difficult to answer without being able to see the pre-op MRI and have more specifics about the characteristics of your pain.The best thing is to discuss you problem with the surgeon who did your fusion.

Failed back: Many people will continue to experience back pain after the surgery. It's called failed back syndrome. You should seek help from a pain management doctor. You might benefit from a comprehensive evaluation and treatment.
