SEE ORTHOPEDIST: Although you had a spinal fusion, the 1st thing that must be established is the source of your pain. You may have hip pain secondary to arthritis or avascular necrosis of the femoral head. You may have a bursitis. It may be referred pain secondary to a pseudoarthrosis of the fusion site. You may have adjacent disc disease. In other words you need to see an orthopedic surgeon for an examination.
