A member asked:

Could having an autism gene cause epilepsy?

Autism-Epilepsy link: Autism is said to have a strong genetic basis, but the genetics are often very complicated. No one gene is thought to account for autism. One of the things that we know is that in up to a third of people with autism they will also have epilepsy, that number grows if people also have intellectual disability.
