Oooh, good question: The two most commonly prescribed meds for absence (petit mal) epilepsy are ethosuximide and valproate. Both interact with Latuda (lurasidone) by an additive effect of psychomotor retardation (dullness) and risk of depression. This can be managed by slow ramp-up of drugs, clear information of what to look for, and input from famiily/friends about overall function. With dose adjustments both may be managed.

Can take both: There is no absolute contraindication between antiepileptic drugs and antipsychotics such as latuda (lurasidone). The best advice is merely to have the doctor treating the seizures and the doctor treating the autism to communicate and to make a reasonable choice and to go over Main effects and side effects of medications and the way that you monitor them.
