A member asked:

Autism spectrum disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder. is it possible that it could be genetic as well?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: There is definite evidence that there is a genetic predisposition for most children that have autism. Though far from specifically identifiable based on genetic tests. More often enzyme based vulnerabilities. More milage in looking at how to moderate the environment to avoid triggering the vulnerabilities.
