Highly unlikely: Bowel perforations are extremely painful and associated with a high fever. A loud pop could be from a subluxed rib or vertebral body on your spine, but not from a bowel perforation.

Most likely not: Bowel perforations usually do not make audible sounds. Although the pain may come on all of a sudden, it is usually a constant pain that does not go away and is worsened by any movement. Most often fever will also result from the perforation and leakage of intestinal contents.
