This is one time : That you can't afford to be shy. Even if you are pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone, it is critical that you ask for help. If you have a plan that you are going to act on then you need to be seen at the nearest emergency room now. If not actively suicidal right now, please find a local therapist. One really good option would be a psychologist who is skilled in cognitive behavioral therapy.
