Water: A 5 pound variation can be from water weight, especially in females. Your weight can fluctuate with your cycle. If you continue to lose weight, without trying to, talk to your doctor. A good rule of thumb is 20 pounds in 3 months without intending to lose weight.

Weight loss: Make sure you are weighing yourself on the same scale and with the same amount of clothes. Preferably you would want to weigh yourself first thing in A.M. On the same scale. If you have no other symptoms besides weight loss, then keep watching it. If your weight loss trend continues, see doc. It looks like you are having a thyroid issue. It may be worthwhile to make sure it's well controlled.
