Death was: Likely caused by, hurting head by violent hit.

Brain injury: Means the the unfortunate person died of head injuries , what ever caused the injuries.

Autopsy report?: If you are reading an autopsy report, hospital discharge summary or coroner report, the author is most likely describing either imaging findings or autopsy findings that demonstrate findings of traumatic brain injury.
