All not equal: Not all dentists are well trained in occlusion, the science of the way your teeth come together and bite, and TMJ dysfunction. And there are different philosophies of occlusion. Try to find a dentist that has trained at pankey or dawson.

Yes. Any licensed: Dentist should be very familiar with the principles of occlusion. With that said, perhaps you need to see an orthodontist if the malocclusion is severe. If malocclusion is not an issue, then might want to consider seeing a prosthodontist. Hope this helps.
