Regular monitoring: Long-term stimulant therapy has generally been shown to be safe and effective in children, although they should have regular pediatric monitoring and should avoid unnecessary stimulants (e.g., caffeine). Possible concerns: poor weight gain from poor appetite, higher risk of high bp, psychiatric effects with dosage changes. But these should improve with stopping the med.

None known: Axepta aka atemoxetine aka strattera (atomoxetine). No major long term issues on ADHD. Main issue is that is is not a psychostimulant and if the child has more than just mild symptoms of ADHD, then axepta will not be very effective. Take care.
