A member asked:

Are there any adhd/add medication effects on one's ability to conceive a child?

Yes: Adhd meds can cause euphoria, increased energy, loss of inhibition and impulsive "risky" sex. These meds. May cause serious medical problems to the mother's physical and mental health and effect her ability to conceive. Babies born to such mothers are at risk for miscarriage, low birth weight and developmental delay.

Maybe: Some psychiatric medications can alter prolactin and TSH secretion, and these in turn can affect menstrual periods and ovulation.

No: Lack of attention or focus may hinder sexual activity, but biologically, none of the meds used for adhd can impede fertility.
