Been on 0.25mg of clonazepam once per day since september 2012 . how hard would it be to tamper off without withdrawal?

Not hard: This is a small dose of Clonazepam and i would anticipate fairly uneventful weaning. I would not suggest a taper given no all the story, but i think if you are determined to get off of it, it should be a fairly easy deal.

Clonazepam: It would not be too difficult, but it might be necessary to start another anxiolytic, preferably non benzodiazepine, like vistaril (hydroxyzine) or buspirone. To stop completely clonazepam, it will be convenient to switch over taking both together for a while, and when stabilized in the second medication, start tapering down and discontinue. If it was used at bedtime, beware of rebound insomnia.
