Person diagnosed with gallstones by an ultrasound, what other tests should be done to rule out other diseases to ensure it truly is gallstones?

Unclear: An ultrasound is one of the best tests i medicine when it is used to diagnose gallstones. However, that does not mean you need your gallbladder removed. A gallbladder should be removed for symptoms - stones are not an indication for surgery.

EGD: Labwork and upper endoscopy could rule out ulcers, or other stomach problems. A history of pain after fatty foods is usually enough unless you have other symptoms.
