I was diagnosed with ibs, is it normal to have some mucus in your stool? this isn't anything new i've always had it and its not every time.

IBS: If there is mucous or blood in the stool i would not diagnose ibs unless you have had a colonoscopy to rule out inflammatory bowel disease. If the colonoscopy is normal then ibs is fairly common in young adults.
