Is occasional tiniest amount of mucus in stool normal? i likely have ibs-c as per my doctor. constipation fixed with water and fiber. i finally go more then i ever have in years.still notice odd piece of mucus(or undigested food) i'm not sure. normal?

A small amount of mucous in the stool is not unusual and can be seen with normal bowel movements. It can also be a sign off inflammation, which may be present with chronic constipation. Sounds like the treatment is helping. GI can certainly help with this treatment. Good luck!
