Yes: You are doing the right things. Exercise and eating a healthy relatively low in carbohydrates diet are helpful. Truly the most powerful lifestyle change is weight loss. There are numerous examples of people reversing even full diabetes with significant weight loss. Keep up the good work! even if you don't prevent diabetes you will be a whole lot healthier.

Depends: If your diabetes is related to weight and Insulin resistance then diet, excercise and weight loss can help and even "cure" the problem. Regardless of you being diabetic or not, diet and exercise is a foundation for excellent health.

Prevention: You've done a great job, and with diet, weight loss and exercise you may not be "prediabetic" anymore. Type 2 diabetes is genetic, in part, and people with prediabetes often have a family history. Your lifestyle changes will certainly delay the onset of diabetes. However, you may still become diabetic some day.

Yes but...: Many people can prevent diabetes with a healthful life style but not all. Even if you do get diabetes and you maintain the good healthful life style and keep your blood sugar under control the risk of complications is negligible. Maybe diabetes is your friend because it told you to do something that is good for you.
