Low Potassium: Muscle cramps are not always tied to specific serum potassium levels so your 3.3 may or may not be causative with your symptom. However, if you are on a diuretic that is known to reduce serum potassium your doctor would be checking these levels at regular intervals and if indeed there is a decrease from norm the expectation is that you would be placed on a potassium supplement.

Magnesium too: I agree with my colleague about the potassium -- but potassium deficiency is not the only possible cause of charlie horses. Low magnesium might be an issue also. You could try magnesium glycinate or taurate and see if this helps. Those types are better absorbed than magnesium oxide or chloride forms. (less chance for diarrhea that way.).

Low potassium level: Your low potassium (k) level could be due to the diuretic (d) you are taking and/or due to the loss of magnesium (m) in the urine due to it. A low blood level of m can also cause a low k level that will not improve unless the m gets in the normal range. Ask your doctor to see if your m is normal. I do not think your charley horse symptoms are due to your k level. Good luck.
