A member asked:

I am on klor-con m20 thru my doctor; my local pharmacy carries potassium gluconate 595; is it safe to take this for 1-2 days until my refill scrip i?

Substitute med: Hello ~ yes this is more than likely to be ok but have a look on the label to see how much elemental potassium each pill gives and if they are more less the same you will be fine. Otherwise check how much potassium in mEquivs you are getting from the dose you are currently taking and try to take the same of the new drug. It does not have to be exact, but as close as possible. thanks
