No: If you know the source of the bruise (like you had some type of trauma to that area, then it getting bigger over time is not unusual. The pigments released by the red blood cells within the bruise can spread to the surrounding tissues, and that makes it look like it's getting bigger. If you are past the first 48 hours from when you got the bruise, you can use heat packs to speed the resolution.
