I have banged my arm quite bad and have a huge bruise. just worried about the bruise as it's painful and gets really hot. is this possible blood clot ?

Unlikely: It is not feasible to give you a meaningful opinion without examining you, however, what you described is consistent with a bruise. If the pain and heat does not go away in a day or so, it would be prudent to see a doctor to rule out infection. Wish you good health.
