Sedentary Job: Glad you are asking this question. Try to get up at least every hour. Hydrate well. Consider walking to the water fountain or the bathroom that is farthest from your desk so that you get more physical activity. Park in spots that are distant from your office and use the stairs when you can. Even when sitting at the computer, stretch your arms, contract and relax muscles in buttocks and calves.

Yes, help: Yes, taking breaks every 1-2 hrs of sitting and standing or walking for 10-20 mins will help. Too much "sitting" is this generation's "smoking", so the less you do, the better your health.
