Nasal decongestant: Flying (just like diving) can lead to dysfunction of the eustachian tube that causes ear plugging, popping and discomfort. Frequently, a spray of nasal decongestant (oxymetazoline) immediately before take-off and landing can relieve this pressure indifference. A person should avoid over use or prolonged use of this spray.
