That is good for you: Many people develop cysts in their livers over the course of their lifetime. A true liver cyst is benign and is no cause for worry: it is an "incidental " finding. If you undergo a follow up ct scan for some reason, the radiologist will compare all findings with your prior study, and will most likely report your liver cyst as stable, meaning there is no change in size.

Benign: A hepatic cyst is a water filled structure within the liver that is benign. A simple cyst has no chance of becoming malignant, although it may increase or decrease in size during your lifetime. Most people have more than one, sometimes on the kidneys too, and they can range in size from a quarter inch to several inches.
