A member asked:

This was found incidentally on my ct scan with contrast. the dr didnt even mention it. should i be concerned? subcentimeter hypodensity in the right hepatic lobe too small to characterize but statistically a hepatic cyst? can it become cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

When confronted with a nebulous finding such as this, I recommend a repeat study in 3 months to assure that there has been no increase in size or suspicion of a serious lesion. Another approach is to consult a hepatologist or gastroenterologist for advice.
