I was diagnosed with gastritis/ intestinal metaplasia last month. i'm on prilosec and carafate (sucralfate). how long should it take for healing/reversal?

Your treating doctor: You doctor will guide you further. Most times gastritis heals pretty quickly...Like in a couple of weeks. Metaplasia/dysplasia is somewhat more unpredictable but follow up examination of your stomach should be considered in order to monitor this change at least once yearly till it normalizes.
