Abdominal Pain: What your GI doc will do obviously depends on what your study shows. They likely will discuss the results with you. They probably will recommend starting a medication...Perhaps a medicine to reduce acid, maybe one to treat gastroparesis. Everything depends on this latest test result.

Further workup: Your abdominal pain is not defined as to location, character, frequency or agravating or alleviating factors. What gastric study?Ultrasound? Endoscopy is indicated. Possibly a barium esophagogram.
