Check with your doc: Sepsis is a life-threatening disease. It means that a local infection such as pneumonia or urinary tract infection induces a total body response. This response of the whole body may cause multiorgan failure. Appropriate and adequate antimicrobials, together with drainage of the infection if necessary, are the main treatment. Aggressive hydration is also useful for most patients. Experienced doc!
