That diet = wt loss: Any very restrictive diet, like the one you describe, can lead to significant weight loss. This might reduce the symptoms from your hemorrhoids for a bit but is not sustainable. Soft stools can also be achieved with a high fiber diet and adequate fluids/water. You should see your doctor to make sure this really is only hemorrhoids.

Variable weight: You are wondering if your 3 lb weight loss is from changing your diet secondary to hemorrhoids. It is more likely that your weight loss is from variation yes. But you should be able to eat healthy and hemorrhoids will heal. If you have weight concerns and hemorrhoids see your doctor.
