Something serious: Fluid collection in the abdomen is a sign of some serious disease. You need to have your doctor check you and investigate the cause? Once a cause is found, it may require treatment if one is available. Common causes for this probelm are liver disease(cirrhosis), heart disease like heart failure or occasionally it is due to cancer. Proper testing by an expert is required.
