A member asked:

Can you see from a colonoscopy if there is a cancer in the bone in the back?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Only inside of colon: Colonoscopy provides an inside (only) view of the large intestine. Although adjacent structures may impress against the colon, they can not be evaluated colonoscopically. That goes for the coccyx bone and sacro-iliac bones.
