When can a 1 year old eat peanut butter?

Now: We wait until the first birthday before recommending introduction of foods that contain tree nuts and peanuts. If your child has had 1st birthday, can begin to introduce these foods. If there is a really strong close family history of peanut allergy with severe reaction, may want to talk to pediatrician before those first bites are tried. Otherwise, pb&j, here you come!

Waiting No Matter: The latest research data is that there is no real reason to delay the introduction to minimize allergic reactions. In fact the opposite may be true.So at 1 year should be ok.Remember that the baby may be allergic, it is just that waiting does not matter.
