A member asked:

Gyn said my cervix is slightly dilated, 50 yrs old, no vaginal deliveries. old blood in between periods for most of the month...possible causes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bleeding between per: The dilated cervix may be caused by an endocervical polyp, which may be a cause for the bleeding. However, bleeding between periods at your age is not normal and needs to be evaluated by probably an ultrasound and endometrial biopsy. Please see your ob/gyn.
