Complex issues: Your chronic bronchitis is unusual in a non-smoker, but could conceivably result from aspiration of gastric acid from reflux esophagitis. See a GI physician to see if this can be medically controlled, since surgery to correct an esophageal hernia is often reserved for cases in which medical care fails. Good luck.

Does xray mild "hyperinflation" with "mildly flattened diaphragms" and then comments of "suspect low grade chronic bronchitis" always mean COPD? Never smoked in my life. Have high peak flow meter 650+. Pulse ox is daily 97-99.
