A member asked:

I've had hiccups since nov. had a ugi and i have acid reflux i've been taking tecta for 2 weeks and no relief, could something be wrong with my diaphragm?

See below: Hiccups are not uncommon and do not always imply anything serious going on. I would advise tyou to find a better medicine(a good antacid) to control your acid reflux. There are many over the counter medicines of varying potenncies. Zantac (ranitidine) is cheaper; Prilosec is a bit more effective but also costs more. I think both are available without prescrition.
