Personal decision: By definition, a sleeve gastrectomy permanently alters the shape of the stomach, changing it from an oblong pouch, somewhat like a rugby ball, to a skinny tube. While the best way to lose weight is diet modification and exercise, it is much easier said than done. Weight loss surgery is extreme, but effective, however it is not a magic bullet, rather a catalyst to help you. Thus, personal decision.
