Ask the doctor: When you see the doctor to describe how the medication is working, tell them and discuss your concerns. That's why they need to follow-up on meds. They might change the drug, the dose, add another rx, suggest talk/behavioral therapy strategies, etc. This is the way treatment needs to be fine tuned. I imiagine you are pleased with the mood relief. I hope you'll also have success with the anxiety.

Change or add-on: There are several common antidepressants that have been fda approved for both depression and anxiety. Ask you provider if the one you're taking has been proven to work for both. Make sure to give the medication at least a month to begin to work. Some antidepressants are more activating at the outset, but ease up when the antidepressant effect kicks in.
