Others available: There are alternative antibiotics that can be used due to allergies to antibiotics. You should contact your dentist, explain allergies and he/she can prescribe an alternative antibiotic.

Question unclear: But traditional antibiotics are routinely used to help with dental infections. Again it depends on the infection and the source of the infection. Best to be seen by a dentist promptly to bd examined and appropriately treated. Hope this helps.

Tooth infection: Antibiotics will not cure a tooth infection. At best, it will TEMPORARILY relieve the symptoms of pain and swelling. It needs to be treated by a dentist.
