Other meds & therapy: Obviously, it depends on the nature of the problem. Switching to a different antidepressant may be helpful or perhaps a different type of medication such as a mood stabilizer, anti-psychotic and/or anti-anxiety medication. Often it is useful for psychotherapy to be part of the mix. In some situations if the depression is deepening, more intensive therapy with hospitalization may be indicated.
