If it does: If it does, call your psychiatrist & let them know that you feel more depressed. This may be a sign that the medication is not the right one for you. If that's the case, there are other medications that you can consider.

Depression: Prozac (fluoxetine) and similar medications can take several weeks to reach full effectiveness. After and even within that time period, if your depression worsens, it will be important to contact your physician, as you may need a change in dosage or to shift to a different medication. However giving the medication time to work is an important piece of starting an antidepressant.
