It is not clear: I would need to know more about you. Are you overweight? Are you having trouble losing weight? Do your friends think you are overweight or just you? You may have an eating disorder, but it is hard to tell given so little information. Speak with a therapist who specializes in eating disorders to figure this out.

Agree w Dr. Lavi: I would ask another question too. Are you afraid of a physical reaction to eating? Aspirating? Choking? Gi upset? Etc? If your relationship is primarily discomfort with your size or shape, body image, food - then seeing an eating disorder psychiatric specialist is recommended. If you are afraid due to physiologic affects of eating - i would start with your primary medical provider. Take care.
