Onset of Action: Unfortunately, antidepressants take a little while before any therapeutic effect is evident. You may expect to begin to see some improvement in your symptoms between 1 and 2 weeks, but sometimes it may be as long as 3 weeks. If you do not experience any relief after 3 weeks, I recommend that you contact your physician to see if an increase in dose may be right for you and your conditions.
