Pregnancy & Klonopin (clonazepam): You'll probably do best by working with an ob-gyn doctor and psychiatrist together. But be aware that Klonopin (clonazepam) is not the only -- or even the best -- treatment for anxiety. Klonopin (clonazepam) also risks fetal malformations -- category d. Before pregnancy, consider working on your anxiety through psychotherapy and alternate psychiatric meds -- ?Ssri's, etc. Could help you and be less risky to baby.

Difficult: Klonopin (clonazepam) is category d in pregnancy so not recommended. There are alternatives but there are no medications that are absolutely safe in pregnancy. There is no way to do ethical clinical research to determine what is safe to take in pregnancy. Ask your primary care doctor for a referral to an ob/gyn who may have alternative approaches to this disorder for you.
