Yes, but: It depends on the location and the extent of the injury. The gland is a collection of very small ducts that drain the testes. In extensive injury they can scar and close; preventing transfer of the spermatozoa. In addition, the spermatozoa rest and mature in the epididymis several weeks before they are fully developed and are called spermatocytes.
