Yes: Essure is a very safe form of permanent contraception. The implant is inert, contains a micropolymer insert used in heart surgery & takes 3 months to close the fallopian tubes after being placed. It is, however, a foreign body that i've seen the body expel creating pain & bleeding. An allergic reaction is possible but very rare. See your doctor to evaluate these symptoms.
