Panic is worse!: Whether essure is good for you or not, panic certainly is not helpful. So relax, seek the source of your panic, acknowledge it and let it go. Holding on to negative feelings only causes the body to tighten as a protective mechanism, which leads to pain and an increase of the negative emotion. Medicine is as much an art as a science, as is life. So live it artfully.

Essure & you: Essure has been in use since 2002 with good patient satisfaction -- especially compared to tubal ligation. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16225573 some women have also had problems. Essure is permanent birth control, and hopefully your doctor discussed all the risks and benefits with you before performing the procedure.
